Correction:  Mandatory Stage II water rationing still in effect -
Our apologies!  The March 2012 newsletter incorrectly stated that Royal Pointe is not currently under any water restrictions.
All of Pflugerville remains, in fact, under Mandatory Stage II water rationing.
Please visit the City of Pflugerville website for guidelines and restrictions.

APD Reports Phone Scam Targeting Elderly
Austin Police Department Receives Complaints of Phone Scam

The Austin Police Department warns that they have received complaints about a phone scam targeting elderly people. An unknown person calls,
claiming to be an APD officer who is about to arrest someone who is forging the elderly person's checks. They then try to verify the name and
address of the elderly person, and even offer to send a patrol officer to their home to discuss the situation. If you know of
someone who may be susceptible to this type of scam, please warn them. If you
know
someone who has received such a call,
please advise them to contact their financial institution to secure the
ir account.

Notice: Royal Pointe Homeowners Association has adopted new Rules and Regulations to comply with recent changes in Texas Homeowner Protection Laws, enacted by the 2011 Texas Legislature. The Legislature codified a homeowner’s right to erect a flagpole and fly the American flag on his property, to install and operate solar-energy devices and rain barrels, and to display small religious items on his/her front door, even if previously prohibited by deed restrictions within the homeowner’s neighborhood. To counter balance, the Legislature also granted Homeowner Associations the right to specify how these items can be displayed, with limitations. Our newly adopted Rules and Regulations acknowledge our homeowners’ rights, and outline appropriate regulations which will protect the rights of all of our residents and our property values. The new Texas law requires that homeowners wishing to install flagpoles, solar-energy devices, rain barrels and religious door displays request and receive approval from the HOA Architectural Control Authority (ACA) prior to installing these items. A copy of the new Rules and Regulations is available to our residents under Governing Documents, along with a copy of the ACA Request for Approval form.
