10TH ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN ROYAL POINT PARK
What a terrific National Night Out celebration we had on October 4! Once again, our big party was featured on the City of Pflugerville website and will represent the City entry in the national competition for small cities. Take a look at the link.
Information regarding requests for Architectural Committee Approval can be found on the documents page of this site.
The Royal Pointe HOA annual meeting was held the evening of Feb. 13, 2017. Mark S. Robinson was elected to a three-year term on the HOA Board of Directors. Mark fills the position of Vice President/Treasurer of the HOA. At this meeting Judy Key completed her may years of service to the Royal Pointe community. When several board members moved away from the neighborhood during their term, Judy stepped up and began to lead the HOA. She recruited individuals to join her and restore the Board to full strength.
Judy led the massive effort to develop and fund the replacement of the HOA-owned fence along New Meister. Through her efforts we were able to secure significant underwriting funding from the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation. This allowed the HOA to complete the project with HOA financial reserves.Without PCDC support homeowners would have special assessments levied to fund the fences.
Also under Judy's leadership the Board two years ago established a progressive leadership model. This model encourages the regular election of new Board members with fresh perspective and ideas while preserving the history and working knowledge of the Board. All five Board members are elected to three-year terms. Three of our Board members agree to a leadership track where they first serve as Vice President/Treasure, the second year as President, followed by a third year as Secretary in a Past President Role. In addition to the three leadership roles two other Board members serve their three-year terms as chairpersons of the Neighborhood Watch Program and Architectural Control Committees to preserve consistency in those offices. We believe this healthy model provides consistent benefit to the Royal Pointe community.
The Royal Pointe subdivision in Pflugerville, Texas is a quiet community of 163 homes, just south of SH-45 and west of SH-130 near Stonehill Shopping Center in northern Travis County.
